Temporary Seasonal Labourer(s)

Temporary Full-time contract (40 hours/week) from May to November 2026

Position Type: Replacement

The City of Brockville’s Operations Department is seeking applications for Temporary Seasonal Labourer positions within the Parks Division. These positions provide full-time hours throughout the seasonal contract period and support the maintenance and beautification of City parks, trails and public spaces.

Key Responsibilities:

• Gardening
  • Litter picking and general park cleanliness
  • Weed removal, tulip planting, fertilizing and watering
  • Planting and maintenance of annuals
• Grass Mowing
  • Maintenance of athletic fields and surrounding areas
  • Operation of ride-on mowers and hand trimmers
• General Weeding and Trimming
  • Routine weeding and trimming across City parks and trails
  • Assistance with cleanup and removal of vandalism and tagging throughout the City.

Note: the above noted duties are representative of a typical position and not be constructed as all-inclusive.

Minimum Qualifications:

• A minimum of an Ontario Secondary School Diploma.
• A Class “G” driver’s license is required.
• Candidates must be available and willing to work night and weekend shifts.
• Ability to perform physically demanding work, including heavy pushing, pulling and lifting (e.g. up to 25 kg) on a regular basis.
• Ability to work in varying and uncontrolled environmental conditions.
