Community Profile

In a community of approximately 22,000 people, we are a city with a hometown atmosphere.

The city is centrally located between Ottawa, Montreal, and Toronto and within minutes of two international bridges to northern New York State. For business, this prime geographical location has proven to be an asset for development, with land costs and building leases available at a fraction of the cost of larger urban centres. Whether you are working from a home office or setting up in the business park, with high speed broadband internet throughout the City, it has never been easier to do business with the world right from within Brockville. The city offers lots of amenities found in larger suburban places without the chaos of traffic, long commutes, and waiting in lineups.

We are a city with great educational options and recreational facilities that make Brockville a great place to raise your family. Our waterfront has many public parks connected by a walking path for the enjoyment of residents and visitors to Brockville and access to the river is one of our most prized features. The city works hard to maintain the beautiful waterfront and heritage atmosphere found in the downtown area while keeping up on growth and competition throughout the other parts of the city.

Business Climate

Brockville remains a comparatively small but dynamic industrial centre. The City supports a diverse range of manufacturing industries, producing such goods as cables and wires, chemical products, micro-electronic equipment, cables and wires, pharmaceutical products, and product packaging materials, to name a few.

The City maintains two large industrial parks, which have attracted a wide variety of new industries in recent years. Some of our large manufacturers include:

The many new developments represent Brockville’s prosperity and indicates the city’s continual growth as a vital urban and regional centre.

Incentives

Brockville is not only a beautiful city, but also a successful one. We offer a comprehensive consumer base, from Ontario, Quebec, and New York State. We attract many tourists every year in every season, especially summer.

Brockville is conveniently located on the 401 Highway. Only one hour from Ottawa, two hours from Montreal and over three hours from Toronto.
