City of Brockville staff use speed radar feedback signs to evaluate speeds on City streets. Signs are installed in a location for one month at a time in order to collect speed data. Speed study locations are selected using resident feedback per the form below. Note that one speed study is completed at a time and takes one month to complete, so there may be a backlog of streets selected for a speed study. Arterial Roads and multi-lane roads are not candidates for traffic calming initiatives are typically not selected for speed studies. The focus of traffic calming initiatives is to ensure that speeds on residential streets and in high-pedestrian areas are not excessive.
