The Planning and Operations Committee of the City of Brockville will be holding a Virtual Public Meeting to give the public an opportunity to make representations concerning proposed Amendments to the City of Brockville Official Plan and Zoning By-law 050-2014 as well as an Applcaition for a Plan of Subdivision.
Vacant 39.3 Acres of land north of King Street West, known as 550 King Street West, formerly part of the Phillips Cables lands.
Description of lands:
Part of Lots A and B, Part of Lots 7, 9, 11, 13, 15, 16, 19, 22, Plan 206, being Part of Part 1 and Parts 2 to 10, RP 28R-12326 and Parts 3, 4, 8, 9, 10 and 11, RP 28R-15186.
Proposal for the lands:
The proposal is for a new subdivision containing approximately 314 new dwelling units, 6 apartment buildings and a commercial compnent fronting on King Street West. The dwelling unit breakdown is proposed to consist of 28 single detached dwellings, 84 semi-detached dwelling units, 202 townhouse dwelling units and 6 apartment buildings. There is a proposed commercial component to the southeast corner of the property along with proposed roadway connections to King Street West, Centre Street, and Church Street. There is a total of 5 proposed streets, and the development is required to be municipally serviced
Proposed OP change:
Change from “Neighbourhood Development Area”, in part, and “Institutional Area, in part, subject to “Mixed Use Corridor” policies, “Significant Woodland” constraints and “Source Water Protection IPZ-2” considerations, to “Neighbourhood Development Area” subject to “Mixed Use Corridor” policies and “Source Water Protection IPZ-2” considerations.
Proposed zoning change:
Change from“H1-R4–General Residential Zone”, in part, “I1-9-General Institutional Special Exception Zone”, in part, and “I1-10-General Institutional Special Exception Zone“, in part, subject to “Source Water Protection IPZ-2” considerations, to “R4-General Residential Zone”, in part, “R7-Multiple Residential Zone”, in part, and “MC-Mixed Use Corridor Zone”, in part, subject to ‘Source Water Protection IPZ-2” considerations.
The subject lands are the subject of concurrent applications for Amendment to the Official Plan for the City of Brockville, Amendment to City of Brockville Zoning By-law 050-2014, as amended, and Applcaition for Subdivision approval.

Box 5000, Brockville, Ontario K6V 7A5. All written corrospondence must include your full name, address, and reference to File Nos. D09-27, D14-065 and 08T-14505 in all submissions or queries. All comments received will become part of the public record.
Written requests for notification of the adoption of the proposed Official Plan Amendment, Zoning By-law Amendment, and Subdivision Approval, or refusal of the request, must be made to the Director of Economic and Development Services for the City of Brockville at the address provided above.
If a person or public body does not make oral submissions at the Virtual Public Meeting or make written submissions to the City of Brockville before a decision is granted respecting the proposed amendment(s), the person or public body is not entitled to appeal the decision of the City of Brockville to the Ontatio Land Tribunal (OLT); and, may not be added as a party to the hearing of an appeal before the Ontario Land Tribunal (OLT) unless, in the opinion of the Tribunal, there are reasonable grounds to do so.
