Information on the Class Environment Assessment Report

The City of Brockville proposes to upgrade the Brockville Water Pollution Control Centre (WPCC). The principal objective of the upgrade is to address the current issue of noncompliance with respect to an effluent criteria parameter, and to provide the "normal" level of treatment as defined by the Ministry of the Environment (MOE). The "normal" level of treatment is considered as the provision of secondary treatment, or equivalent, processes meeting associated effluent quality requirements. A second objective for the WPCC upgrade is to enhance existing processes, and appropriately address key issues such as effluent disinfection, sludge/biosolids treatment and management, and septage receiving.
