Frequently Asked QuestionsHow do I dispose of furniture or large items? Purchase a $10 Large Item tag (available at City Hall, Metro, Superstore, Canadian Tire, Home Hardware, Gord Watts Municipal Centre, Local Convenience Store downtown, or Quickie convenience stores in Brockville) for each piece of furniture. Write your address on the tag and affix it to the item. Place at the curb on your regular waste collection day. The collectors will need the larger truck to pick up bulky items, so if the smaller truck collects your regular waste, then there will be a delay for the larger truck to come back and collect your item(s) at the end of the run. If your large item was not collected on your regular collection day, please call 613-342-8772 ext. 3220. Appliances are not collected curbside (they can be brought to Waste Management at 1380 California Ave- fees apply for refrigeration appliances). If the items you’re disposing of are in good condition and can be reused, please consider donation as a first option. This service is available to eligible residential properties only.
