Winter Parking Prohibition - Now in Effect
Brockville By-Law 119-89
WINTER PARKING PROHIBITION – NOW IN EFFECT
Parking is prohibited on all streets in the City of Brockville between the hours of 2 a.m. and
7 a.m. during the months of November through March inclusive, with the following exceptions:
- The City will inform the public by 6 p.m. the day that Public Works crews will be doing evening ice and snow plowing/removal in specific areas of the City. Parking prohibition will be changed in the announced areas listed below, to 11 p.m. to 7 a.m. on the evenings that the work is to be undertaken.
A. City wide
B. Area south of the CNR
C. Area between CNR & 401
D. Area north of 401
The Public will be informed on this matter prior to 6 p.m. on your local radio stations, 104.9 JR FM and 103.7 BOB-FM.
For your added convenience, the City has established a Winter Maintenance Bulletin telephone number to provide the public with up-to-date information on our winter control activities. To access this information, please call 613.342.8772, ext. 3000.
Please assist whenever possible by keeping your vehicles off the street during evening hours, or any inclement weather.
Should any owner, driver or operator park a vehicle on any street in contravention to the By-Law, said vehicle may be ticketed (minimum fine $20) by a Police Constable or By-Law Enforcement Officer, and if necessary, towed at the expense of the owner, driver or operator. Free overnight parking permitted between 11 p.m. and 7 a.m. in the following locations:
- South side of the Water Street Parking Lot
- George Street Parking Lot
- Henry Street Parking Lot
- East side of the John Street Parking Lot
