Citizen Member of Planning and Operations Committee Required

Share your expertise and help to make a difference in your community by serving as a citizen member of our Planning and Operations (POC) Standing Committee of Council. The City of Brockville invites applications from interested individuals to fill a vacancy.

A background in administration, management or governance would be helpful but not mandatory. POC meets once a month on the first Tuesday of the month at 4:30 pm, with potential Public Planning meetings to follow at 6:00 pm. As a Committee member you will be a voting member of the Committee that oversees the following departments and committees of the City:

  • Environmental Services
  • Fire Department
  • Operations Department
  • Planning Department
  • Airport Commission
  • Cycling Advisory Committee
  • Heritage Brockville

Members of the public who are interested in serving on the POC should apply outlining their interest.  Applications are available at City Hall or on our Civicweb Portal. Simply this link: and complete the online application. The deadline for submissions will be May 17, 2019 at 4:00 pm.
