Spring Street and Sidewalk Sweeping

Spring Street and Sidewalk Sweeping

Spring is here and the City of Brockville is starting its annual spring sweeping. Street sweeping improves water quality and the environment by removing pollutants that can be transferred to downstream water bodies through urban runoff through the storm water system. The Street Sweeping Program also improves the cleanliness and aesthetics of City streets and parking lots by removing salt and sand deposited during our winter operations. Our sweeper will be cleaning all 119 kms of roadway during the months of March to May including all city owned sidewalks.

A reminder that parking is prohibited on City streets between the hours of 2:00 am and 7:00 am until March 31. Please be mindful of this until May so that the city can have street surfaces swept and cleaned for the warmer months to enjoy.
