Parks and Trails

Brockville offers many parks and trails, including the following:

The Brock Trail has something to offer for those of all ages.  The fully paved paths and boardwalk have been designed with access in mind providing curb cut-outs and a surface that can accommodate wheelchairs, scooters, baby carriages, strollers, bikes, trikes and roller blades.  There are wonderful views all along the Trail and historical photo plaques enhance your experience.

Rotary Park offers year-round free activities for all ages, including a splash pad, accessible play area, skateboard park, Ontario’s first paved bicycle pump track, and basketball court. In the winter, there is a newly covered hockey rink with refrigeration system that guarantees ice from December through March, and a synthetic ice surface is that is especially popular with beginning skaters. There are washrooms and a skate change hut. Ample public parking is available around the park, and it is immediately adjacent to the Brock Trail.

St. Lawrence Park is located on the western outskirts of the City of Brockville on King St. West/County Road #2 overlooking the St. Lawrence River. Its waterfront location makes it a scenic and relaxing place to camp, picnic, spend time at the beach or just enjoy the colourful watercraft on the river.

Ten non power sites plus ten power sites with both power and water hookup. Dumping station on site. Reservations are recommended however "always room" for self-supported cyclists on greenspace areas. Shower and laundry facilities available to campers.

Lifeguards are on duty daily at the sandy beach, weather permitting, in the summer period.

Washrooms, change room and a canteen are in operation from June through to Labour Day.

Centeen Park, located adjacent to the St. Lawrence river, offers swimming, walking trails and Canada's First Underwater Sculpture park.

Blockhouse Island is a beautiful, accessible park that juts into the St. Lawrence River.  It features special summer events such as the vintage car show and views of the poker run as well as boat cruises and refreshments/dining.

Hardy Park features many actvities in the summer months like the annual RibFest festival and Sunday evening concerts.  The park has volleyball courts in the summer, washrooms and a recently upgraded children's playground.
