We want to hear from you! It’s more important than ever to support local businesses, services, community organizations, and each other as we face uncertainty.

Our people are our community, and what makes Brockville a great place to live are all of you.

We are working with the Brockville & District Chamber of Commerce on a social media campaign that will feature your thoughts and what you love about our local community.

Share your thoughts, shout outs, local favourites, and local product swaps with us so we can post real testimonials and quotes directly from our community members. We can post your thoughts with your name, or if you would prefer, we will keep your words anonymous.

Submit your answers through our web form, answer as many or as few questions as you would like. We can’t wait to read your submissions!

Want more? Show your support for local by adding our “Community Strong” frame to your social media profile. To create your new graphic:

Option 1: using our Canva template:

1. Click here to access the template
2. Upload your profile image on the left side in “uploads” (on a mobile device, this option will be along the bottom of your design)
3. Select your profile photo from your uploads to add it to your design, and drag the handles on each side of the image to fit the photo to the full size of the design (this will cover up the “Community Strong” graphic. That’s fine, we will fix this in a moment). Be careful not to replace the community strong graphic with your new image. Use the “undo” feature if this happens.
4. Double click on your profile photo to move the photo within the new cropped size and to centre your face on the page
5. Click once on your profile photo, and from the options that appear above the photo, select “Position” > “To back”. The “Community Strong” graphic should now be in front. (If you need to resize your profile photo to fit within the frame, you’ll have to move the “community strong” graphic to the back first in order to select your photo, and then move it back after you are done).
6. Download the file as a .jpeg or .png
7. Upload your new photo to your social media profile.

Option 2: combine the files yourself:

1. Download our Community Strong graphic here
2. Create a square file in your favourite design software
3. Open your profile photo and the Community Strong graphic
4. Drop your profile photo into the centre of your square canvas
5. Add the Community Strong graphic on top in the centre of the design, and expand the image to fill the canvas, being careful not to distort the image.
6. Recenter or resize your profile image as needed
7. Save your new file and upload it to your social media profile

That’s it! Now you are ready to show your love for local.
