  • Notice of Committee of Adjustment Hearing for 12 and 14 Water Street East

    The Committee of Adjustment for the City of Brockville is in receipt of the following application for Minor Variance and Consent to Zoning Bylaw 050-2014 under the Planning Act. A Public Hearing will be held for the application on:

    Date of Public Meeting: Wednesday, June 17, 2026

    Time of Meeting: 3:00 pm

    Location of Meeting: 1 King Street West, City Hall, Council Chambers

    Summary of Proposal

    Subject Property: 12 and 14 Water Street East

    Location: North side of Water Street, east of Market Street East

    File Numbers: D10-05-26; D13-06-26

    The applicant has requested a severance (File D10-05-26) of the existing property at 12 and 14 Water Street East, to sever the existing lot and restore it to the original lots of record. A concurrent application for Minor Variance (File D13-06-26) has been submitted, requesting a reduction in lot frontage from 15 metres to 9.1 metres (12 Water Street East) and 15 metres to 12.6 metres (14 Water Street East), with a reduction in lot size from 500 m² to 278.7 m² (12 Water Street East) and from 500 m² to 386.7 m² (14 Water Street East). An easement has been requested in the rear yard of the severed lot to allow parking for the retained lot.

    Please be advised, no one other than the applicant, the municipality, certain public bodies, and the Minister are permitted to appeal a minor variance or consent decisions.
