    Rotary Park Rink: Open

Update: Please note that the Rink is scheduled to close on February 27 because of the warm weather. It will remain closed until further notice.

Please note that we will be offering Public Skating Only every day from 9 am to 1 pm, with absolutely no hockey permitted at this time. We will then turn it over to hockey play, from 1 pm to 9 pm daily. Also note that there is no league play on this rink, as it remains free and open for all to use. Only pick up (shinny) hockey is to be played.

In order to keep the rink free for all, we rely on the participation of all users to adhere to the posted schedule and signage, and behave appropriately. Rotating the daily activity schedule multiple times a day has led to enforcement issues that are unsustainable if we wish to keep this site free and open to everyone.

    Daily Schedule:

    • 9:00 am – 1:00 pm Public Skating (no hockey allowed)
    • 1:00 pm – 9:00 pm Pick Up Hockey (other users may still use the rink to skate, but should be aware of hockey play on ice)
    • (please scroll down to the bottom of this page for schedule changes for the Winter Classic Weekend)

The City asks everyone to play safe, and be mindful and respectful of others. We ask that hockey players please be kind while playing, as there will likely be some other users on the ice that are not playing hockey. Hard slap shots are not permitted in the rink due to the risk of injury to unsuspecting users. Failure to comply with this could lead to removal from the rink.

    Additional Information on Rink Use:

    • The rink is free, and open for all to use every day, from 9 am to 9 pm
    • The rink remains unstaffed, this keeps the cost down  so it can remain free for all users
    • During the 12 hours that the rink is open each day, it is a free to use Public Skating Rink.
    • Hockey is not allowed to be played during the hours of 9 am to 1 pm
    • Hockey is allowed during the hours of 1 pm to 9 pm.
      • During Hockey play hours, people can still go skating, but need to be aware of the hockey.
      • Hockey players should be aware of other users on the ice who are not playing hockey.
      • Hard slap shots are not permitted in the rink.
      • League play is not permitted.

In an emergency, please call 911. The address of this facility is 185 George Street, Brockville, Ontario
