Accessibility
Our website is provided with accessiBe tools to assist with alternative options on our City of Brockville website.
“We firmly believe that the internet should be available and accessible to anyone and are committed to providing a website that is accessible to the broadest possible audience, regardless of ability.” This is the mutually agreed upon accessiBe accessibility statement. The goal of Council, staff, and the committee members of Brockville Municipal Accessibility Advisory Committee is to make Accessibility a Reality. Some projects of note:
- The play structure at Hardy Park is accessible to everyone. Tactile features and the Braille alphabet are just some of what makes Hardy Park a fun place to be for everyone. The surface of the park is wheelchair accessible.
- The Brockville Arts Centre has become a fully accessible building and has been referred to as an Accessible Work of Art by the Ontario Ministry of Community and Social Services.
- In 2024 park play structures were updated for accessibility. Click here to see the News update on the New Play Structures.
