Cultural Services is a new City department that provides leadership, advances and promotes activities that support arts groups and cultural organizations in the Municipality and region, including the Brockville Arts Centre, Brockville Museum, and Brockville Tourism.

Brockville Arts Centre
The Brockville Arts Centre is an anchor destination in downtown Brockville. Recognized as one of the finest medium size historic theatres in Canada, we welcome thousands of theatregoers to an experience that makes them feel close and connected to the performers on stage.
Housed in one of the oldest buildings along our charming main street and in the heart of the “King Street Arts District”, the Brockville Arts Centre attracts visitors from all over Ontario, Quebec and Upper State New York State. The theatre within easy walking distance of the city’s beautiful St. Lawrence River harbour and fine restaurants.

Brockville Museum
A visit to the Brockville Museum offers a glimpse into the social and industrial history of Ontario’s first incorporated town. With over 7,000 objects and 30,000 photographs and documents in the collection, we offer a variety of exhibit experiences providing a rare glimpse into the history of our riverfront community.
We offer a wide range of public programming for all ages throughout the year, both at the museum and through outreach activities. The museum is open throughout the year, call or visit our website for up to date hours of operation.

Brockville Tourism
The City of Brockville manages tourism in-house. Our Brockville Tourism team has been hard at work strategizing and implementing innovative solutions aimed at enriching every aspect of our attractions for visitors and residents alike while featuring our status as a premier destination.
City Council and staff understand the importance of tourism not only in showcasing the beauty and culture of our city but also in stimulating our local economy and fostering community pride. Heritage Brockville
Heritage Brockville is an appointed Municipal Heritage Committee that advises Council on matters related to property designations and alterations. They work with City staff to maintain the Register of Heritage Properties and produce commemoration plaques, articles, walking tours and research materials for homeowners. As experts in the heritage field, they can provide guidance to property owners on appropriate building materials, colours and signage for historical buildings. They also oversee the Brockville Heritage Awards honouring outstanding achievement is restoration, conservation and rehabilitation of existing buildings.
