Bartholomew Street Reconstruction

The City of Brockville is planning the reconstruction of Bartholomew Street between James Street East and King Street East as part of the 2026 Capital Budget.

The project will replace aging underground infrastructure, including water and sewer services, and reconstruct the road, sidewalks, curbs, and boulevard. This work will improve the condition of the street and help ensure the infrastructure continues to serve residents for years to come.

During the design phase, the City reviewed traffic and parking options for Bartholomew Street between Pearl Street and King Street East. Following a review of roadway requirements, public feedback, and staff recommendations, Council approved a new traffic configuration on April 28, 2026.

Once reconstruction is complete, Bartholomew Street between Pearl Street and King Street East will operate as a southbound one-way street with on-street parking on the east side only.

Construction is anticipated to begin this summer. Additional updates will be shared as the project progresses.
