Brockville’s “I Voted” Sticker Contest

1. Contest Overview
The City of Brockville is hosting Brockville’s "I Voted" Sticker Contest to select an official sticker design for the 2026 Municipal and School Board Election. The winning design may be reproduced and distributed by the City of Brockville as part of its election awareness and voter engagement initiatives.

2. Contest Period
The contest opens at 12:00 a.m. on August 31, 2026, and closes at 11:59 p.m. on September 11, 2026.
Entries received after the submission deadline will not be considered.

3. Eligibility
The contest is open to individuals who are residents of the City of Brockville.
Only individual entries will be accepted. Group submissions are not permitted.
Employees of the City of Brockville and members of the judging panel are not eligible to participate in the contest.
The City reserves the right to request proof of residency from finalists and the winning entrant.

4. Entry Requirements
To be eligible, all entries must:
• Be the original work of the entrant.
• Be submitted through the official contest form.
• Include all required contact information.
• Be appropriate for a public audience.
• Comply with all applicable laws.
Entries must not:
• Infringe upon any copyright, trademark, or intellectual property rights.
• Include copyrighted characters, logos, brands, or trademarks owned by others.
• Contain offensive, discriminatory, defamatory, obscene, or inappropriate content.
• Be created wholly or partially using generative artificial intelligence (AI) tools.
The City reserves the right to disqualify any submission that does not meet these requirements.

5. Design Specifications
Participants are encouraged to create a design that reflects voting, civic engagement, community pride, or democracy.
Designs should:
• Be suitable for reproduction as a circular sticker.
• Be scalable to approximately 3 inches in diameter.
• Be submitted in JPG, PNG, or PDF format.

6. Judging and Voting
Following the submission period, eligible entries will be reviewed by a panel appointed by the City of Brockville.
The judging panel will select up to three (3) finalist designs based on:
• Creativity
• Originality
• Visual impact
• Connection to voting, democracy, and civic engagement
Finalist designs will be published for public voting from September 15 to September 17, 2026.
The design receiving the highest number of valid public votes will be declared the winner.
The City's decision regarding eligibility, judging, and final results is final.

7. Prize
One (1) winning entrant will receive:
• A $150 Visa Gift Card;
• Public recognition by the City of Brockville; and
• The opportunity to have their design featured as the official Brockville "I Voted" sticker for the 2026 Municipal and School Board Election.
The prize is non-transferable and has no cash alternative.

8. License and Use of Submitted Artwork
By submitting an entry, the entrant grants the City of Brockville a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive license to:
• Reproduce,
• Modify,
• Adapt,
• Publish,
• Display,
• Print,
• Distribute, and
• Promote
the submitted artwork for election, educational, promotional, and municipal purposes.
The City reserves the right to make minor modifications to the winning design as necessary for printing, accessibility, branding, or production requirements.

9. Privacy
Personal information collected through the contest will be collected under the Municipal Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (MFIPPA) and will be used solely for the administration of the contest, including contacting finalists and the winner.

10. Publicity
Finalists and the winning entrant may be identified publicly by name and may be invited to participate in promotional activities related to the contest and election campaign.

11. Cancellation or Modification
The City of Brockville reserves the right to cancel, modify, suspend, or terminate the contest at any time if circumstances arise that are beyond its reasonable control.

12. Acceptance of Terms
By submitting an entry, participants acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agree to these Terms and Conditions.
