On February 24, 2009, Council passed a resolution amending the contract term for seasonal island campsites to one year.
An island campsite accommodates up to six people or a single-family unit consisting of parents and their children.
A maximum of two tents (i.e. sleeping + dining) is permitted.
Mooring for one boat is included in the campsite fee. The boat must be approved and registered with the City as some docks may be inappropriate for larger boats. Island mooring fees are applicable for any other vessels.
The City of Brockville islands are classified as public lands and, as such, individuals utilizing these lands are subject to all applicable municipal, provincial and federal legislation. City of Brockville by-laws are enforced under the Provincial Offences Act and violations will result in the immediate issuance of fines and, in some cases, the termination of campsite privileges by cancellation of contract and eviction without refund.
The lottery draw will take place on Tuesday, May 9, 2023 at 5:00 PM (applicants will be sent a virtual meeting link). Limit of one application per household and/or address. The name appearing on the application must be on the campsite agreement as the primary camper. Questions? Please contact Parks & Events Coordinator e: parks@brockville.com t: 613-342-8772 x 3266.
