Our municipality invests in the beautiful downtown and waterfront area of Brockville. Our waterfront is unique and sets us apart from other cities along the river, and our beautiful, historic downtown boasts tons of businesses, services, and amenities that make this area shine. Check out the upcoming Downtown Brockville business directory for more information on what can be found in the downtown core. This is companion content to the Downtown Brockville business directory where below you can find a bit more information on the items we presented in the directory, along with links for each.
Here are some of the downtown assets our municipality has invested in:
- Free Wi-Fi available downtown (and in other places in the City), search for “Brockville Free Wifi” on your device. Check out our interactive map to see where the signal is the strongest.
- Stop by the Brockville Public Library to cool off or warm up, use computers and wi-fi, refill your water bottle, print anything you need, and access resources and amazing programs for all ages.
- Don’t miss the Brockville Railway Tunnel, Brockville’s top free attraction, open daily from mid-May to mid-October.
- Access scuba diving from shore in Centeen Park and Reynolds Park (or charter a dive boat from a local business).
- Book a park for your public (or private) event. The City encourages use of its parks by members of the public for both private events (family barbecues) and public events (small or large festivals and events). There is currently no fee to book a park, unless street closures are required, and you will need insurance for your event. Building permits or other permits may be required depending on the scale of your event. A Facility Use Application is required to start the process.

- For more information about upcoming festivals and events, please check out Brockville Tourism’s event calendar.
- Enjoy 2 hour complimentary parking on King Street and side streets. Visit our Parking page for more information about location of lots and street parking.
- Enjoy the waterfront: Almost all of Brockville’s waterfront is public, including multiple parks and the popular Blockhouse Island Parkway.
- Go boating or paddle along the waterfront: Brockville has two public boat ramps downtown and boat trailer parking off of Water Street. Launch here to access the river, or head to one of our islands for the day or to camp overnight. The Municipal Harbour is also just steps from downtown.
- Catch a show at the Brockville Arts Centre.
- Walk or cycle along the Brock Trail. Check out the series of heritage information plaques produced by Heritage Brockville along the trail and on downtown sidewalks to learn more about Brockville’s history.
- Stop by the Brockville Museum to learn more about our beautiful city.
- Check out the hands on interactive exhibits at the Aquatarium and watch the river otters play year round at this stunning waterfront attraction.
