Get to know Jeremy, one of our newest Brockville Buzz Squad team members.
Jeremy first made his way to Brockville during a period of change which allowed him to be closer to family and take a step back from bigger city life. Jeremy quickly found many opportunities to get involved in the community by volunteering and contributing his time and experience towards community initiatives.
Since moving to Brockville, Jeremy has enjoyed the walkability of the downtown, the convenience of finding everything you need only a five-minute drive away, and the integration of the St. Lawrence River and waterfront into daily life. As the Executive Director of a small not for profit organization in Ottawa, his work is primarily done remotely, and he finds that Brockville is conducive to that kind of work.
With opportunities to take his dog out for walks along the Brock Trail and meet new people, Jeremy enjoys Brockville’s friendly atmosphere and the common occurrence of running into friends or starting conversations on the street.
Jeremy spends his spare time volunteering and enhancing community projects, including serving as the Chair of the Brockville Tall Ships Festival, United Way Leeds and Grenville Events Committee, and GenNext, a United Way initiative that brings younger professionals together to support community causes.
